Hand quilting in progress

I got a lot of work done on the quilting of my Improv quilt. You can read here a post about the making of the top.

I wanted a quilting design in the same style as the piecing : something geometric but not quite straight. I chose to use adhesive tape as a guide.
Je voulais un motif de quilting dans le même style que l’assemblage : quelque chose de géométrique sans être tout fait droit. J’ai choisi d’utiliser une bande adhésive comme guide.

I place the tape without measuring or using a ruler. In this way, I get irregular lines even though I stitch along the tape.
Je place la bande sans mesurer ni utiliser de règle. De cette manière, même en quiltant le long de la bande, j’obtiens des lignes irrégulières.

The weather was gorgeous and warm this weekend. Which is not common here in November … So I finally went out of my sewing room for a walk in the surroundings with my husband 🙂
Le temps était magnifique et doux ce week-end. Ce qui est inhabituel ici en novembre … Je suis donc finalement sortie de mon atelier pour une marche dans les environs avec mon mari 🙂
