For the twelve first blocks of the HST Quilt-Along hosted by Alyce at Blossom Heart Quilts I chose different light fabrics for the background. For these two I decided to do the opposite and used medium value fabrics in coral tones as background.
Pour les douze premiers blocs du HST Quilt-Along organisé par Alyce sur Blossom Heart Quilts j’ai choisi différents tissus clairs pour le fond. Pour ces deux blocs, j’ai décidé de faire l’inverse et j’ai utilisé comme fond des tissus de valeur moyenne dans les teintes corail.

Jess at Elven Garden Quilts, who designed this latest block, proposed a two-fabric version. I preferred however use more prints as Alyce did. You can see both versions here. It is interesting to see how the fabric choice or placement can make the same block different.

Your coral version of Introspection is very lovely and solves the problem of too much pale background. Love your fabric choices. I'm on Sew Cute Tuesday also and did a different background for Turnstile, because I felt the bits of color just floated in too much white, my background for the set of blocks. I'm planning to change up Introspection as you did. Nice to see your work.
