Yesterday, I took some time to review my 2019 quilting journey and decided to link up with Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs for the Best of 2019 party.
1. What the stats are saying … – Ce que disent les stats …
The picture you liked most on my Instagram feed is my LOVE quilt.
2. My (new) favourite quilt of the year – Mon (nouveau) quilt préféré de l’année

3. The most time-consuming project – Le projet le plus chronophage
My first self-published pattern was time-consuming but I think the experience was worth it. All details here.
4. The most challenging project – Le plus grand challenge
Teaching Improv was both challenging (I had to overcome shyness … ) and rewarding. Preparing these two classes also led me to develop a few ideas and create quilts I am really happy with.
5. The craziest moment – Le moment le plus fou
Meeting quilting friends and hearing some good news at Quiltcon.
It was fun to go through my posts and Instagram feed ! The difficulty was to choose only five posts I wanted to highlight since 2019 has been so rich in quilting events.
What’s next ?!
Et ensuite ?!

You have had quite a year, Sophie, and I adore everything you've made. How exciting to have THREE quilts at QC. You are definitely the best of the best, and I'm so happy you'll get to attend QC again. As for teaching… did you enjoy it? That's the biggest question. I started teaching quiltmaking in 2004, and absolutely love doing it. I'm teaching a few workshops coming up in 2020, but I wish I had more scheduled. While I can teach just about anything related to quiltmaking, I don't have any ORIGINAL design or concepts to share. That's where my talent fails. I can only dream about being the "total package" 🙂 with both design skills and teaching skills. I hope 2020 brings you a year of good health and enjoyment. Every blessing, Linda
Awesome highlights for 2019 and wishing you continued quilty success for 2020!
I just want you to know how much I love your blog!
Sounds busy yes, but so great! Hope it's a really great year for you!
That is five terrific Best Off's and some awesome goals! All the best for 2020. Looking forward to meeting you at Quilt Con 🙂 xo Melanie
