An other finish on my list for the first quarter of 2017 FAL !
Un autre projet terminé sur ma liste pour le premier trimestre du FAL 2017 !
We bought last year a glass and metal coffee table and I suggested that I make a patchwork rug to protect the floor. The metal is pretty sharp. Well, it was a good excuse to try this pattern by Svetlana at SOTAK Handmade as well … 😉
Nous avons acheté l’année dernière une table basse en verre et métal et j’ai proposé de réaliser un tapis en patchwork pour protéger le sol. Le métal est assez acéré. Bon, c’était aussi une bonne excuse pour essayer ce modèle de Svetlana de SOTAK Handmade … 😉
I mixed two Essex linen fabrics with prints from the Slow and Steady collection by Tula Pink. I bought them originally to make pouches and they ended up in a rug … I added a print designed by Alison Glass, Mercury, that I already used in different tones. The binding is a basic print from Cotton and Steel fabrics.
I quilted a spiral by machine with a pastel green thread from Aurifil (40 wt).

A touch of pink in the living room. My guys try to bear it as best they can :-)) What they still don’t know … is that a couple of cushions with the same fabrics are planned ! And maybe coasters too ! hahaha
Une touche de pink dans le salon. Mes gars essaient de le supporter du mieux qu’ils peuvent :-)) Ce qu’ils ne savent pas encore … c’est que deux coussins avec les mêmes tissus sont prévus ! Et peut-être aussi des sous-verres ! hahaha

This is gorgeous Sophie, what a lovely contemporary accessory. It's like a giant coaster for your table, so of course you have to have coasters on top for your mugs! And a few cushions. Of course you do, it wouldn't be right otherwise! Your skill is amazing too, it lies so flat and your spiral quilting – wow!
