Last week I was on a quilting retreat in South of France with my friends of Patchmania group. I brought a couple of projects but my top priority was working on this mini quilt. I had planned to stitch the appliqué circles and piece them together so I just had to quilt and bind it when I got back.
La semaine dernière, j’étais en vacances patch dans le Sud de la France avec mes amies du groupe Patchmania. J’avais apporté plusieurs projets mais ma première priorité était de travailler sur ce mini quilt. J’avais prévu d’appliquer et assembler les cercles pour avoir seulement à le quilter et poser le binding à mon retour.
This project is a part of a series of challenges with some friends and we planned to have it finished before the end of October. Since I am leaving tomorrow for Montréal (Canada) with my mom to visit our family … It was the last minute to make it !!!
Ce projet fait partie d’un ensemble de défis avec un groupe d’amies et nous avons prévu de le terminer avant la fin du mois d’octobre. Comme je pars demain pour Montréal (Canada) avec ma maman pour visiter notre famille … C’était le dernier moment pour le réaliser !!!
This mini had to be representative of our work and I thought of appliqué circles straight away :-)) ! And since Carolyn Friedlander has been very present in my projects these past months I chose to use some scraps from her collections.

For the first time I sewed corners as hanging system instead of a sleeve but I haven’t tested it on the wall yet.
Pour la première fois, j’ai cousu des coins comme système d’accrochage au lieu d’un tunnel mais je ne l’ai pas encore testé sur le mur.

I love it! The colors, fabric and design all work so well together and the quilting is a very nice touch! I use the corners on nearly all my minis. It works very well for those small quilts!
This is an amazing quilted wall hanging. I will have to try those corners on my next wall hanging.

Très drôle. L'automne commence juste à s'installer. Et il ne fait même pas sous zéro encore. Mais ça s'en vient. Très joli, comme toujours. On va peut-être se voir Sophie !
This is very pretty! So artistic! I mostly notice your wonderful quilting, however. Clever corner treatment for hanging, too.
