Quiltcon 2020 submissions

The much awaited notification emails arrived earlier this week … And they brought me really good news ! Three out of the five quilts I submitted to Quiltcon 2020 were accepted 🙂 Bubble Gum, LOVE and Funky Town will be heading to Austin ! Les très attendus emails de notification sont arrivés un peu plus tôt cette semaine … Et ils m’ont apporté de vraiment bonnes nouvelles ! A few new projects

Despite the heat … I got a lot of work done on two quilts I would like to submit to next Quiltcon. Malgré la chaleur … J’ai bien avancé sur deux quilts que j’aimerais soumettre au prochain Quiltcon. Bold design and bright colours for the second one as well ! Un design fort et des couleurs vives pour le deuxième également ! I designed these two projects completely on my computer and even chose the colours while designing. Quiltcon 2019 – The fun part

I hope you won’t be bored of seeing my face since it is a lot-of -me-pictures kind of post … 🙂 These four days at Quiltcon have been a whirlwind ! The fun already started at pre-registration, the evening before the show opens, since I met a few friends while waiting in the queue for getting my name tag. The ceremony awards was held right after and I was particularly anxious to attend it. I got an email ten days before to let me know that two of my quilts were awarded. Originally I had planned to write today a blog post about some pouches I made these past two weeks. But I can’t hardly focuse on something other than the amazing news I got yesterday. Travelling quilts

Last May I entered two improv’ mini quilts in Curated Quilts challenge. Connexions which was my favourite didn’t make it but Ensemble was accepted and I sent it to the magazine for the photo shoot. I received my quilt back last week along with a complimentary copy of issue #5. Bubble Gum – A finished quilt

That was hard to keep the secret for so long … I finished this wall hanging last Winter as you can noticed it on the last picture. Birmingham Festival of Quilts

I had sent two quilts to be displayed at this year Festival of Quilts in Birmingham (UK). The first one was Retro that I entered in the Modern Quilt category. Travelling quilts

I have an unfortunate tendency to consider that my quilts are finished as soon as the hanging sleeve is attached and the binding is stitched onto the back. So I had to catch up with some quilt labelling over the week end. Quiltcon from home

Quiltcon is in full swing in Pasadena at the moment. I had to cancel my trip to California but hopefully I am enjoying the event somewhat through social medias.
