Last Saturday was an intensive and very productive sewing day with my Improv quilting mate Sophie. My blocks for Score #6 from Sherri Lynn Wood book were waiting on my design wall for a while and I was not crazy about the layout attempt I made some weeks ago.
Samedi dernier a été un jour de couture intensif et très productif avec ma camarade d’improvisation Sophie. Mes blocs pour le Score #6 tiré du livre de Sherri Lynn Wood attendaient sur mon panneau de conception depuis un certain temps et je n’étais pas emballée par l’essai de disposition fait quelques semaines auparavant.
I started the day by rethinking completely the layout and made a few more triangles. That was much better !
J’ai commencé la journée par repenser complètement le placement des blocs et par refaire quelques triangles de plus. C’était déjà mieux !
As I went along I thought the dark grey area was too large. I then considered different options to modify this part, all of them requiring some unpicking …
En avançant, j’ai trouvé que la zone en gris foncé était trop importante. J’ai donc considéré différentes options pour modifier cette partie, toutes demandant un peu de démontage …
I was on a roll and worked in the evening to complete it since I didn’t want to pack up an unfinished top again … And I am really happy with the design !
J’étais sur ma lancée et j’ai travaillé dans la soirée pour le terminer car je ne voulais pas de nouveau ranger un top non terminé … Et je suis vraiment contente du design !

I love seeing your scores Sophie and this one is no exception. I love the shades of grey with splashes of colour. I did start the second one but have abandoned it for now, I must be more disciplined.
The addition of the yellow really brightened it up! I love the colors and how you have put it together! I will be watching to see where this is going!
