A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of testing ‘Diaspora’, a pattern designed by my friend Pachy @psbquilts.
Il y a quelques semaines, j’ai eu le plaisir de tester “Diaspora” un modèle dessiné par mon amie Pachy @psbquilts.
While at Quiltcon last February I bought a bundle of Snap to Grid collection by Kimberly Kight for Cotton and Steel Fabrics that I was very anxious to use. So I decided it was the perfect fabric pull for Pachy’s pattern and combined it to matching solids 🙂 For the background I used two Essex Linen fabrics, Charcoal and Black.
A Quiltcon en février dernier, j’ai acheté un lot de tissus de la collection Snap to Grid de Kimberly Kight pour Cotton and Steel Fabrics que j’étais très impatiente d’utiliser. Donc j’ai décidé que c’était le choix parfait pour le modèle de Pachy et je l’ai combiné avec des unis assortis. Pour le fond, j’ai utilisé deux tissus Essex Linen, Charcoal et Black.
I had to show you that beautiful pile of HSTs, all pieced and trimmed. I am not the kind of quilter who works rationally and cut all pieces required for a quilt at once and then chain piece all blocks. But I did it in this case for the pattern testing needs and I am pretty proud of myself 🙂
Je devais vous montrer cette magnifique pile de HSTs, tous piécés et égalisés. Je ne suis pas le genre de quilteuse qui travaille de manière rationnelle et coupe toute les pièces requises pour un quilt en une fois et ensuite assemble à la chaîne tous les blocs. Mais je l’ai fait dans ce cas pour les besoins du test et je suis plutôt fière de moi 🙂
I am not totally decided about the quilting but I think it will be my next hand work. My current slow stitching project will be completed soon and I like to have something to do by hand.
Je ne suis pas complètement décidée à propos du quilting mais je pense que ce sera mon prochain travail à la main. Mon projet tranquille actuel est presque terminé et j’aime avoir quelque chose à faire à la main.
