#7 – Interaction V

Voici un aperçu de Interaction V que j’ai terminé la semaine dernière. Comme d’habitude, je vous montrerai des photos en entier et détail dans un article dédié.

#8 – PatCHquilt Color Challenge

The prompt for patCHquilt 2025 challenge is to use a triadic colour scheme. I struggled a bit to stick to the theme while sketching ideas for this project … Anyway I kept thinking about it until I came up with an idea since I definitely wanted to take part in. I finally went for the yellow orange – red violet – blue green combination.

Le thème du challenge patCHquilt 2025 est d’utiliser une palette de couleurs triadiques. En dessinant des idées pour ce projet, j’ai un peu galéré à me conformer au thème … J’ai quand même continué à y réfléchir jusqu’à trouver une idée car je tenais à participer. J’ai finalement opté pour la combinaison jaune orange – rouge violet – bleu vert.

Once I decided on a design, the piecing step went pretty quickly! The quilt top is even basted and I am now considering different options for the quilting design.

Une fois décidée sur le design, l’étape d’assemblage est allée relativement vite ! Le top est même faufilé et je réfléchis en ce moment à différentes options pour le dessin de quilting.

Other News – Travelling Quilts

The quilts from patCHquilt 2024 challenge, among which my Fragment quilt, were on display at Villa Ciani in Lugano (Switzerland) as part of an art & craft event early November. The next venue for this collection is Nyon on March 1 and 2.

My Offset quilt is still on display at the Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn (New-York state) as part of the Quilts = Art = Quilts exhibition.

I have just received good news regarding two of my recent submissions. My quilts Construction and Interaction III were accepted into next year Road to California show!

Les quilts du challenge patCHquilt 2024, dont mon quilt Fragment, ont été exposés à la Villa Ciani à Lugano dans le cadre d’un événement art & artisanat début novembre. Le prochain lieu d’exposition pour cette collection est Nyon, les 1 et 2 mars 2025.

Mon quilt Offset est toujours visible au Schweinfurth Art Center à Auburn (état de New-York) dans le cadre de l’exposition Quilts = Art = Quilts.

Je viens de recevoir des bonnes nouvelles concernant deux de mes récentes soumissions. Mes quilts Construction et Interaction III ont été acceptés pour l’ exposition Road to California 2025 !
