Preparing and hand stitching

Last week, I sewed the backing for my modern sampler. That step is not my favourite part of the process (too large pieces) … . To make it more fun, I decided to make an oversized version of this block.
La semaine dernière, j’ai cousu le dos pour mon sampler moderne. Cette étape n’est pas ce que je préfère dans la réalisation (pièces trop grandes) … Pour la rendre plus amusante, j’ai décidé de réaliser une version surdimensionnée de ce bloc.

6″ block (without “frame”) / bloc de 15 cm (sans le “cadre”)

This quilt will end up at 59″ x 83″.
Ce quilt va finir à 150 cm x 210 cm.

I spent Sunday afternoon basting it (and taking breaks for my back and knees … ).
J’ai passé l’après-midi de dimanche à le faufiler (et faire des pauses pour mon dos et mes genoux …).

I also prepared the first top for my Quilty 365 project. I planned to machine quilt straight lines on this one.
J’ai aussi préparé le premier top de mon projet Quilty 365. J’ai l’intention de quilter des lignes droites à la machine sur celui-ci.

And … I worked on my two hand appliqué projects as well.
Et … J’ai aussi travaillé sur mes deux projets d’appliqué main.

A lot of hand stitches made over the weekend … 😉
