Horizon quilt – A smaller version

First finish of the year ! A wall hanging version of my Horizon quilt pattern, a size that will be more appropriate to a few upcoming exhibitions. Première réalisation de l’année ! Une version panneau mural de mon modèle Horizon, un format qui sera plus adapté pour les quelques expositions à venir. Except two small changes, the design is the same as for my two first versions. I just added some space below the triangle at the bottom and also reduced space between two other triangles. Horizon Quilt – Testers

A few weeks ago, as I finished writing instructions for my Horizon quilt, I called for testers on Instagram. I did myself a few pattern testing for other designers and I know it takes some time. That means make notes along the process, double-check measurements and validate instructions. So I was happy to find several people willing to be my “guinea pigs”. Quilts patterns

Last June, when I posted pictures of my Horizon quilt, I mentioned my intention to publish a pattern. It took me some time to get started … but this project is now well under way. I redesigned in inches my original Throw size quilt. I also did the maths for a Baby size version and made it in a completely different palette. Horizon – A finished quilt

I am excited to show you at last Horizon ! It was originally designed for BeeBook, a quilting book written by my blogging friend Katell Renon at La Ruche des Quilteuses. The general tone of this book is creativity and improvisation and then the patterns included are to be used rather as a source of inspiration. Orange Pop – A finished quilt

Actually I finished this quilt late in March and you maybe remember seeing a sneak peek from time to time. I just couldn’t help it … :-)) It is a pattern I designed for France Patchwork magazine, Les Nouvelles, and I can share it today at last since it is released in June issue. En fait, j’ai terminé ce quilt fin mars et vous vous souvenez peut-être avoir vu de temps en temps un aperçu.
