Next logical step

This quilt top is mostly inspired by a pattern designed by Latifah Saafir which was released in Simply Moderne magazine. You can see a picture on my original post. Ce top est en grande partie inspiré par un modèle de Latifah Saafir qui est paru dans le magazine Simply Moderne. Vous pouvez voir une photo sur mon article original. With a few changes though … The original has only one background colour (I used three different fabrics) and the curves are machine pieced (I used hand appliqué). I changed somewhat the layout for my needs too and grouped the half… +

So Dearly QAL #5

Like every second Monday of the month, it is my turn to share a part of the mystery QAL hosted by Gosia at Quilts My Way. This part #5 is almost a reverse image of the third one and I placed the colours in the same way. I have been waiting for Carolyn Friedlander new Polk collection for a while and ordered some of the prints as soon as it was available in shops. A bit of everything

The two wall hangings, Neon and Eclat, and the Baby quilt I recently shared here were actually completed before the beginning of June. Apart from my So Dearly QAL project I didn’t sew a lot these past weeks … I managed to make some progress on this appliqué project though and love how it is turning out. Les deux panneaux, Neon et Eclat, et le Baby quilt que j’ai montré récemment ici ont en fait été terminés avant le début du mois de juin. A part mon projet So Dearly QAL, je n’ai pas beaucoup fait de couture ces dernières semaines … J’ai quand même réussi à avancer… +

A new hand sewing project

I have been thinking of an easy to take with me hand project for some time now. I started a few but wasn’t crazy about the beginning and gave them up rather quickly. I even tried EPP seeing so many projects on the Internet. But I didn’t really like this piecing method. Je réfléchis depuis quelques temps déjà à un projet main, facile à emporter avec moi. If you are sewing along with us you probably have already seen part #2 of the design that Gosia at Quilts My Way revealed last week. Here is my ‘sherbet’ colour palette version !
