A lot of circles were appliqued those few days and I could join the units together over weekend. I have now finished two out of the four parts of this top. You can read more about the techniques used and the source of inspiration in a previous blog post.

I had a good rest … 😉 and also had time to finish the quilting on this project !

I sure like the looks of the appliqué you're doing! Even though you were forced to rest (so sorry you were sick!), you made great use of your time. I really love the look of modern appliqué, and actually have a design in mind that I'm anxious to give a go. But, as I'm in the middle of a long-term quilting project (I'm quilting at my machine every day!), I simply must finish it before allowing myself to work on something new. But appliqué is up next, for sure. Love what you're doing, and I'll be excited to see your finish.
