Ongoing Projects

#1 – Positive

I can check this project off the list! In case you missed my latest post, you can see the finished quilt here.

#2 – Maximalist

I wanted to submit a quilt for the MQG Maximalist exhibit but I finally made the decision to give up this idea. As I procrastinated about the design for too long … it became clear I wouldn’t be able to complete this project in time. I prefer to prioritize project #4 and there is still a lot to do on this one.

J’avais envie de soumettre un quilt pour l’exposition de la MQG sur le thème Maximaliste mais j’ai pris la décision d’abandonner l’idée. Comme j’ai tergiversé sur le design trop longtemps … il est devenu clair que je ne pourrais pas terminer ce projet dans les temps. Je préfère prioriser le projet #4 et il reste encore beaucoup à faire sur celui-ci.

#3 – Windham Fabric Challenge

This project is almost finished as I just have to stitch the binding by hand!

Ce projet est presque terminé car il ne reste plus qu’à coudre le binding à la main !

I am saving this task for later since it is an easy portable project and will be perfect for bringing at next sewing meeting.

Je garde cette tâche pour plus tard car c’est un projet pratique à emmener pour la prochaine réunion couture.

#4 – Handwork Project

At last … I took decisions and finalized the design! The assembly is in progress but I am currently waiting for the plum colorway fabric I had to reorder.

Enfin … J’ai pris des décisions et finalisé le design ! L’assemblage est en cours mais j’attends en ce moment le tissu de coloris prune que j’ai dû recommander.

In the meantime, I have to hand applique three extra circles I added to my design. Another easy task to do while chatting at next meeting!

En attendant, j’ai à appliquer à la main trois cercles supplémentaires que j’ai ajouté à mon design. Une autre tâche facile à faire en discutant à la prochaine réunion !

#7 – New Project

This project is based on one of the designs I didn’t retain for the Pantone Quilt Challenge earlier this year. I set it aside with the idea of making it for next ART-TEX group exhibit at the end of October. The top is finished and I am currently thinking about the quilting design.

Ce projet est basé sur un des designs que je n’avais pas retenu pour le Pantone Quilt Challenge en début d’année. Je l’avais mis de côté avec l’idée de le réaliser pour la prochaine expo ART-TEX à fin octobre. Le top est terminé et je réfléchis en ce moment au quilting.

Other News

My two quilts, Polka Dot and Spotlight, are back from their trip to Birmingham. As I didn’t attend the show this year it was fun to get pictures of my quilts on display!

Mes deux quilts, Polka Dot et Spotlight, sont de retour de leur voyage à Birmingham. Comme je n’ai pas assisté au festival cette année, c’était sympa de recevoir des photos de mes quilts exposés !

Shed and Interaction II are heading to Washington state for International Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival that will be held at the beginning of October!
