Unsurprisingly, Mind the Gap wasn’t accepted into the Mini Quilts section of Curated Quilts upcoming issue. But I’m happy to share that Sophie’s project will be published! I had also submitted my Bubble Gum quilt to the Gallery section but I haven’t received any answer for this one yet. Sans surprise, Mind the Gap n’a pas été accepté dans la rubrique Mini Quilts de la prochaine édition de Curated Quilts. Mais je suis ravie de vous annoncer que le projet de Sophie sera publié ! Quilt retreat Earlier this month, I had planned a sewing retreat with my friend Sophie and we decided to work together on the latest Curated Quilts mini quilt challenge. We ended up with two very different designs. Sophie’s project pictured top, mine on the bottom. April Recap

Some news about what I’ve been working on since my latest post … 🙂 Quelques nouvelles de l’avancement de mes projets depuis mon dernier article … 🙂 Quilting I started the quilting on a top which has been waiting since last July. While designing this project I already had in mind to mix machine and hand quilting. The machine quilting part is now almost finished and the addition of big hand stitches is well under way. I have been working on different projects over the past week that are on my list for this quarter. The quilting is almost finished for project #1. Au cours de la semaine, j’ai travaillé sur différents projets qui sont sur ma liste pour ce trimestre. Le quilting est presque terminé pour le projet #1. I made some progress on my hand applique project. J’ai avancé un peu sur mon projet d’appliqué main. I cut all pieces but one for my patchwork rug and pieced the black and white strips. The fabric for the last piece will be a small print in curry colour…. +

Stay focused

‘Stay focused’ … even if you work on a very simple piecing project is my new motto ! I have been wanting to make something in patchwork with a Gingham look for a while and decided to use the scraps from my current hand applique curves project to give it a try. “Rester concentrée” … même si on travaille sur un projet très simple est mon nouveau mot d’ordre ! Hand applique curves

It sounds my trip to Austin for attending Quiltcon was ages ago and, if I think about it, it is less than two months … Have you also lost track of time lately ?! We are now nearing the end of five weeks of isolation and almost got into rut … The second week had been hard for me though since I felt a bit down. Piers – Pattern Testing

One of the upsides of self-isolating ?! My agenda became very light for this Spring 😉 So when Julie @builtaquilt asked me if I was willing to test her new pattern I was happy to agree ! I chose the Baby size option. I know I know … the easiest choice when testing a pattern … 😉 Un des bons côtés du confinement ?! Two quilt tops finished

The result of being confined at home … Le résultat du confinement à la maison … I finished the piecing step of two current projects over the week. And they are both basted ! J’ai terminé l’étape d’assemblage de deux projets en cours pendant la semaine. Et ils sont tous les deux faufilés ! I have to share my working space with my husband who has been working from home since last Tuesday. Work in progress

I was sick for a few days last week and stayed warm, under a quilt. I was able to hand stitch meanwhile anyway … J’ai été malade quelques jours la semaine dernière et je suis restée au chaud, sous un quilt. J’ai quand même été capable de coudre à la main pendant ce temps … A lot of circles were appliqued those few days and I could join the units together over weekend. When I posted my list of projects last week, I put first a new project inspired by a mural I saw in Nashville. I made a lot of progress over the weekend and here is what it looks like now !
