Polka Dot – A finished quilt

Polka Dot is the last quilt I finished this year. People who came at ART-TEX exhibit in Avenches mid October already saw it in person but I hadn’t shared pictures of the finished quilt here yet. Polka Dot est mon dernier quilt terminé cette année. Les visiteurs qui sont venus à l’exposition ART-TEX à Avenches mi octobre l’ont déjà vu en personne mais je n’avais pas encore partagés de photos du quilt terminé ici. Christmas Market

Just a quick note to let you know about the two markets I will take part in for the end of the year. The first one will be held next week, on December 2 and 3. Shed – A finished quilt

Shed is my entry into Windham Fabrics challenge for Quiltcon 2023.To my husband, the saw tooth shape and the coal and brick colours suggested industrial buildings of the 19th century. It resonated with me, so I decided to name my quilt after that idea. Shed is a word borrowed from the English language and used in French to refer to saw tooth roofs in industrial architecture. Historically a part of the roof was made out of glass to bring day light inside the workshop. I quilted diagonal lines for depicting ray of light. Shed est mon entrée pour Quiltcon 2023… +

Quilts on the road

Nadelwelt As mentioned in my previous post, I exhibited with ART-TEX group at Nadelwelt fair in Friedrichshafen (Germany) earlier this month. I had decided that ‘orange’ would be the guideline for choosing my quilts for our gallery. ART-TEX upcoming exhibits

Just a quick note to let you know about the two exhibits I will take part in as a member of ART-TEX group. The first one will be held in Friedrichshafen (Germany) from October 7 to 9. We will have a gallery at Nadelwelt which is an international fair for needlecraft. Maryline Collioud-Robert Just one day left to see this exhibition in person! Maryline is showing some of her works from the past thirty years. The quilts are beautifully showcased, with a good lighting, in a lovely place, surrounded by nature in the Gorges de l’Areuse (Neuchâtel area, Switzerland). July Recap

Unsurprisingly, Mind the Gap wasn’t accepted into the Mini Quilts section of Curated Quilts upcoming issue. But I’m happy to share that Sophie’s project will be published! I had also submitted my Bubble Gum quilt to the Gallery section but I haven’t received any answer for this one yet. Sans surprise, Mind the Gap n’a pas été accepté dans la rubrique Mini Quilts de la prochaine édition de Curated Quilts. Mais je suis ravie de vous annoncer que le projet de Sophie sera publié !
